Today I have added a new description of myself and my work to the website, but I have decided to leave the old description below, as this is a way for people to get to know me better.
Since a young age I have had a passion for craft work and all that involves: The combination of colours, different materials, textures and shapes.
In the early 2000’s, while in University as a Tourism student, I was able to do a several researches about the Brazilian cultural identity and discover how rich it is.
While living in Campo Grande – MS ( a city with a large Japanese community) I learnt about origami ( the art of making objects and figures from folded paper) in 2006.
Following this and the years that passed I then started with my interest in making paper craft and to collect papers with different colours and textures.
Until 2014, origami was the only technique I used on my projects, but after a workshop with a Caribbean born carnival artist, I then started to work more actively with wire and paper mache. It was then that the work with paper feathers was born!
Brazilian born self-taught paper artist, based in the UK.
